15 Reasons We Love the Oriflamme Fire Pit Table

As the country’s first and leading distributor for the Oriflamme Fire Pit Tables, the team at All Backyard Fun has gained extensive experience in product information, sales, technical support and installation since it’s introduction to the market more than a decade go.

The introduction of the Oriflamme Fire Pit Table was the first of its kind bringing outdoor elegance together with the concept of ‘designed fire’. The patent pending burner and vibrant colored fire glass added additional options to personalize the tables to the customer’s reason or season.

While many fire pit tables, none have been able to quite effectively compete with the ingenuity and beautiful design of the Oriflamme Fire Pit Table.

ORIFLAMME FIRE TABLE FEATURES & DIFFERENTIATORS:

In addition to the reasons featured in the photo, here are 15 MORE reasons why we love Oriflamme Fire Pit Tables and hope you will love them too!

  1. It will warm you up! The Oriflamme fire pit table not only provides a beautifully designed piece of furniture, it actually produces warmth. Oriflamme is truly one of the ‘hottest’ tables on the market with a heat source of up to 75,000 BTU’s
  2. Coffee Table height. You can sit down comfortably and enjoy conversation with friends and it will work complimentary (design & functionality) to most outdoor patio sets. Coffee table height table is 21 3/4 inches.
  3.  Long burn time. The burn time lasts an average of 16-18 hours on high with two tanks (but can last up to 35 hours depending on outdoor conditions and flame height)
  4.  Adjustable flame change the height from low to high for warmth or ambiance
  5. Heat comes from the bottom – and why does this matter? Because if the heat comes from the bottom of the table and it rises – the warmth will be felt at the level in which you are seated. Other fire pit tables heat from the top meaning the fire warms ‘the sky’ and not you (unless you are standing and slightly tilting toward it).
  6. The tanks are neatly contained inside the table – The tanks are not external and therefore need to be hidden because they are unsightly. (see our video below that outlines how and where the tanks are stored)
  7. Easy to assemble (No tools are required) – You can have your fire pit set up and ready to go in minutes
  8. Easy Off Switch – Designed with hidden switch (push and ignite the flame to light and simply turn off when you are done).
  9. Table components are interchangeable – If there are any problems you can fix that part without worrying about having to send your entire table in to be serviced.
  10.  Natural gas component kit available – This fire pit table uses 2 propane tanks but if you want to customize it and run natural gas to it that is an option as well
  11. Hoses are available for larger remote propane tanks
  12. MADE IN THE USA! Oriflamme Fire Pit Tables are proudly made in the midwest United States and each table is handcrafted and made to order.
  13. SUSTAINABLE With Proven Market! The Oriflamme Fire Pit Tables are here to stay. They have been on the market for more than a decade and are not a seasonal or limited production table. They have a classic timeless look and will hold up for years to come. You can find product reviews easily online and rest assured knowing that if any problems occur with the table you can call the manufacturer and obtain replacement parts with ease.
  14. Clean & Elegant Design – Many customers love the clean and elegant design. Whether you invest thousands of dollars on your outdoor living space or you want your patio to look like a million bucks, the Oriflamme Fire Pit Table has a very classy design. It is constructed of the highest quality and the powder coat has a 7 year warranty against rust so it is made to withstand the elements year round!
  15. Trusted by Major Brands – The Oriflamme Fire Pit Table has been sold worldwide. We have customers from Southern California to Sweden (yes, we ship worldwide)! And they have been used in commercial settings everywhere. From the Boulder (Colorado) Country Club to the Ritz Carlton and W Hotel in Scottsdale, Arizona, if it meets their high quality standards we certainly hope and expect it will meet yours!

Ready For Spring

5 Ways to Get Your Backyard Ready For Spring Outdoor Living

Alas! Springtime is finally here, and that means it’s time to get your backyard and patio ready for late night cocktail gatherings, soaking up the sun in your lounger, and BBQ’s with the family. Here’s how you can start to get ready to have some fun in the sun!

  1. Survey Any Damage That May Have Occurred During the Winter.
Is there any molding on your deck? Cracks in the concrete? Does your deck need to be resealed? If so, now’s the time!
  2. Give Those Bushes a Haircut!
Trim and cut any out of control garden bed. Trimming will help keep trees and shrubs nice and compact. If you want to add a tropical vibe this spring, add some bamboo to your backyard.
  3. Add An Outdoor Heating Source
It still remains pretty chilly when the sun goes down, so in order to remain an all-year round outdoor entertainer provide heat for your guests such as an outdoor fire pit.
  4. Give the BBQ A Power Clean
It’s about that time to throw some shrimp on the barby! Start the barbeque season off right, with a clean shiny grill.
  5. Plan For Your Outdoor Furniture Space
It might be time to replace your outdoor furniture. Maybe yours is worn out or maybe you’re looking for a fresh look this spring. Either way, take a look at the dimensions and plan for your new patio set!

The Wickers Voice Their Concerns

After Katie picked the burner and fire glass to go with her brand new Oriflamme Fire Table from All Backyard Fun, Thomas jumped on the phone to ask a few questions of All Backyard Fun Sales rep Sarah.

“Is this safe to put on a wood deck?” Absolutely Sarah remarked, it is designed just like a gas grill with all the heat going above the unit.

We are thinking about putting in a pergola, is it ok to put this table underneath a pergola? Sure is, you need about 60” of clearance from the table top to the surface of the material above, so about 5 feet high, you will be just fine with that new pergola.

That sounds great Thomas said, so we will be able to put this Oriflamme Fire Table on the new deck with the pergola, outstanding!

Thomas also had some very important questions about assembly of the table and how heavy it weighed. Sara explained to Thomas then there is no assembly required as all of the units are manufactured right her in the USA, with American workers! Thomas was thrilled to hear that, not many products are made in the USA anymore exclaimed Thomas.

What about the weight asked Thomas? Sarah told Thomas that the total weight was about 150lbs, and the heaviest piece being the granite, two people would need to move that into place.

Tune in next week to hear more about the Wickers’ All Backyard Fun adventure and their quest to have the perfect patio.

Oriflamme Optima Granite Fire Table

The weather is finally cooling down a little bit and we are getting into the fringes of the holiday season! This means we are also getting inventory delivered in anticipation and get a chance to shoot some product photos of products that are difficult to keep in stock during the busy months. One of those products is the Oriflamme Optima Granite Fire Table by Designing Fire; a beautiful Giallo Santo granite fire table that features a lighter color granite and speckled black and rose in the granite veins.

We finally got a product photo shoot with this gorgeous table and everything that comes with the fire table. The standard powder coat with the Optima Granite Fire Table is a black powder coat (although Copper Vein is available upon request) and we didn’t have these product photos in our library either. To give an idea about how popular this table is, after this photo shoot we delivered this table to a local customer who had just purchased that table! Right now is a great time to buy this table as well, with lead times getting down to about 2 weeks if you order now you’ll have it long before Thanksgiving!

As our valued reader, use the coupon code BLOG and receive a free vinyl cover when you order an Optima or any other fire pit. Click on the photos below to buy one of these beautiful fire tables! Giallo-Santo giallo-santo-close up

All Backyard Fun had its ribbon cutting party on May 15, 2014 to celebrate nearly a year of doing business here in Boulder, Colorado.

Launching All Backyard Fun in Boulder

Well, it’s been a while hasn’t it? During the last couple of months, it’s been very busy around here at All Backyard Fun and we haven’t had a lot of time to stop and enjoy the community of our city and our customers. On May 15th, we got the opportunity to do just that! Our ribbon cutting and launch party took place on the 15th and we invited many of our local customers, business partners, neighbors, and guests to come out and celebrate with us.

The Boulder Chamber of Commerce was on hand with a ribbon and a pair of novelty scissors, our friends over at Upslope Brewery provided delicious beer, and the great folks over at the Protein Bar brought super yummy (and healthy) wraps, burritos, and salads. As the evening went on, we got the opportunity to share with everyone gathered how much we appreciate their support, interest, and business and that we are looking forward to growing deep roots here in the Front Range. We had such a great evening and even got to connect with a few online customers who stopped by too! Please browse through the photos and reach out to us if you are in the Front Range, we’d love to meet you!

Backyard fire tables for barbecue party food

Are you fond of barbecued food? Why don’t you plan a barbecue to make the most of your Holiday time? Look out for portable and fixed backyard fire tables to prepare scrumptious cuisines that leave a lasting taste on your tongue.

Just like the traditional fireplaces, these modern fire pits can help you easily combat the chilly breeze while sitting in your patio. You can play games, dance along the tunes of music, chit chat with your loved ones and enjoy the much desired privacy with your beloved; fire tables enliven their surroundings. And to further add to the fun, you can munch on freshly roasted goodies along with your glass of wine.

You can decorate your fire table with fancy  accessories for the perfect party mood. You may even use beautiful lighting effects to make your patio look more attractive. Reds, yellows, greens, etc. you can put colored lighting strips on your plants and trees to make your garden get the right party atmosphere.

Whether you buy wooden or gas fire pits, we have a large variety available that you can choose from. So don’t wait, just use your laptop and start ordering the perfect outdoor table for your home.

Can I build my own gas fire pit?

Can I build my own gas fire pit?

Many homeowners love to customize their homes. Whether it’s indoor or outside, people love to feel like their houses are more than just a building someone else designed. So, whether you start from scratch or you inherit your design from the previous owner, decorating your backyard is a key part of creating a “home” feel. One great way to do that is to build a gas fire pit. Here’s three things to consider when you want to build your own gas fire pit.

Choose your “style”
Along with the growth of information sharing over the Internet, ideas of different fire pits travel further. Adding to this craze of pictures and blogs are sites like Houzz.com, which is the home designer’s dream website. So take a look around at different sites and ask lots of questions in the comments to get an idea of what you like and don’t like.

Add up the costs
One “must-do” of any project is to project the cost of the whole project before you start. Breaking budget happens on far too many home projects, and gas fire pits are no different. If you’re building it yourself, make sure to factor in costs like pounds of fire glass, running a gas line to the location, hoses and valves, and labor costs. Don’t forget to factor in the cost of running the gas fire pit over time too! Your gas bill will certainly go up some, and then any maintenance on the fire pit could add up quickly. Using high quality materials will help offset some of this cost too.

Consider long-term plans
If you’re planning to or have a chance to move in the next two to three years, you may want to reconsider building a permanent fire pit. After putting in all the time, effort and thought into a permanent fire pit, moving away makes it that much harder to leave. Look for other options (like a fire table)that are portable if you think there is a chance you could move.

So should I build my own gas fire pit?
All things considered, gas fire pits are an enjoyable investment into your lifestyle and home’s value. There’s no smoke, no wood to chop or store, they are simple and if made correctly, very safe (because of the controlled fuel source). Your neighbors won’t hate you for starting a wildfire or smoking out their evening, and your kids will love roasting marshmallow in the summer. Consider these three factors and see if a gas fire pit is something you can add to your home!

Decorating My Wedding with Gas Fire Pits

When my fiance and I began to plan our wedding this Spring, I began to understand why little girls start dreaming up their weddings before elementary school; because of the massive amount of detail to the event. While I’m letting her handle all the finer points (like the difference between deep purple and plum color bridesmaid dresses) I have started to think of the other things people remember about weddings. Usually it’s not the color of the candles around the room or the table cloths, but things like the stories shared about the couple after the reception over a glass of wine. Since this is what I remember from weddings, I looked for something that could bring people together outside on the September night of our wedding.

I love being outside on a warm fall night with my fiancé, and that’s one of the reasons we picked a September date for our wedding. Having the reception at a place we could go outside was important to us, so we picked classic style club house overlooking the course. One thing I’m looking forward to having on the deck of the clubhouse is a gas fire table. The more I’ve looked into these particular fire tables, the more I’ve wanted one at our wedding reception. It looks classy but is a fun and interesting centerpiece for guests to mingle around after dinner. One idea we had for the fire pit is to set up some comfy chairs to sit around it in and then have a bag of marshmallows for the kids  (or adults!) to roast over the flame.

Since we have 3 different colors for our wedding, we could mix in those colors into the fire glass on the table to add a personal touch for the evening. Another fun idea to do with the fire glass would be to spell out the date or our names in glass in the gas burner. One  would be great to sit around with guests on a beautiful fall night. Since the deck on the clubhouse is larger, we could have a couple of different fire pits on the deck so more people could migrate outside. Since the fire pit would run on gas, no one will leave smelling like smoke or get dirty in the ashes. Anyone who has set up decorations at a wedding knows it could be a nightmare if it’s too complicated, but a fire table is so simple to set up  we won’t waste any time while we decorate.

I would love to look back on our wedding and see photos of people mingling, laughing and relaxing on a beautiful fall night. My fiancé and I both hope to have a classic wedding that people we will remember for a long time, and will have had a full night of enjoyment. Gas fire pits would be an awesome addition to a wedding reception, something people will remember sitting around for years to come!
